    GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

    The primary function of this position is responsible for deliver outstanding service to both internal and external members and for implementing BI-centric solutions that support the IT and organizational strategic objectives. This position is responsible for architecting, developing, maintaining and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions.  It is also responsible for the technical implementation and upgrades of current and future data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Demonstrate enthusiastic support of the corporate mission, core values and long-term objectives. Performs job duties within or bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors' policies, established internal and external service standards and our work procedures.

     

    1. Oversee the ongoing development and operations of enterprise data warehouse and operational data store. Develop, implement, and maintain new data sources into the data warehouse.

     

    1. Manage architecture, administration, configuration, monitoring, performance, maintenance and usability of BI systems.

     

    1. Evaluate, implement and deploy BI system upgrades. Ensure end user awareness and communicate best practices.

     

    1. Develop, maintain and manage advanced semantic layers, metadata, reporting, analytics, dashboards, report definitions, data extracts, etc. Designs, codes, tests and document all new or existing BI solutions. Writing complex queries, views and stored procedures.

     

    1. Solve complete data issue using data analyst skills to determine root cause problem for data integrity and data quality issues.

     

    1. Collaborate with departments to identify and scope the business opportunity, to understand, document and analyze business requirements, identify effective reporting techniques, the best data sources, risks and constraints, and desired reporting formats that drive the development and design of BI solution.

     

    1. Maintain a strong understanding of business workflow, processes, and events and how these are captured in transactional systems.

     

    1. Provide guidance, training and technical support to departments regarding in data analytics, business measures, and reporting.

     

    1. Improve and streamline processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, viability and value.

     

    1. Communicates plans, progress, and issues to management in a timely manner.

     

    1. Analyze, estimate, and fulfill requests for BI solutions.

     

    1. Lead or participate as a team member on organization projects.

     

    1. Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate initiative timelines.

     

    1. Maintain knowledge of current and future techniques and technologies through research, training labs, reading, conferences and experimentation with new technologies in the workplace.

     

    1. Back-up other members of the team as required.

     

    1. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

     

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, and 12 to 18 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
